Ok, here's the deal

I'm laying in bed at Northside Hospital while I dictate this post to my sister. Please, please, please no phone calls or visitors. I was so sick all weekend and I went to the ER yesterday. I was there all day and they drained 4 1/2 liters of fluid off my abdomen, did xrays and CT scan, and admitted me at 7pm. My whole system is out of whack from the cancer. I will not be going to MD Anderson next week. I am starting chemo tomorrow in my hospital room. Hopefully this will shrink the tumors and bring me some much needed relief. Because of this cancer, my chemistry is way off and it is tricky fixing everything. Dr. Austin has brought in a GYN oncologist to assist with my treatment and he is very encouraging about me getting the relief I need. I wish I had something zingy or witty to say, but I don't. That's the latest update and I will keep everyone posted. Again, please, please, please, no phone calls or visitors!!

Also, you can respond to this post, but chances are I won't read it for awhile since I am not feeling well. Thanks for all of the love and support.

  7. The Decatur Meth. Church had BIG prayers for you this past Sunday. led by my Mom. I have my own service of prayer for you...practically every waking moment of my day. I wish I could take some of this pain and discomfort away for you (and your Mom, and your sister!). It's maddening knowing a friend is hurting and there's nothing we can do, except to send you our love and a gentle virtual hug, and of course to continue
our prayers. here's to hoping today is a better day. xoxo

  12. I was passing through Atlanta on my way home from spring break and saw a billboard for Northside Hospital. I said a prayer for you, as I do each day.
