We cried alot yesterday. It's exhausting. At the same time, when you get cancer communication becomes easier and imperative because a lot of the petty shit does not matter. I thought back to the day my Dad died. My sister was standing at the curb in a little tan smock with her hand in her pockets shifting side to side. I was coming home from school and she had been standing there for god knows how long. I knew right then something was wrong. I know that look. I am the only person that really knows her in some ways. She has that same look with me now. That is why she has been cryng. She is sad and I know you aren't supposed to cry on front of the sick but it is ok. I know she loves me.
The nausea has gone away but the insomnia remains.
My stomach was so distended yesterday that I could not put on pants and it hurt. It has gone down some. Still trying to dynamite the poo poo. This morning my tummy was less swollen. I have to eat and drink small amounts slowly because it sits at the top of my stomach and doesn't go down. I tried to take polyethelene glycol for the constipation but I can't drink that much liquid at once.
So that's it for this morning... maybe more later. I might try and do another small outing.
happy sunday.
Hey, good morning! So glad you got out yesterday...it was beautiful. I can't remember when the cherry trees were so pretty. I hope you get a chance to go today. I'm home.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you got out a bit. That darn constipation- have you tried (and I know it sounds gross, but it works) prune juice with coca cola heated up in microwave? The combo of warm liquid, prunes and caffeine worked for me when I had the distended stomach and colon issues. Can you ask for zofran for your naseau and ativan for your insomnia? Every little bit helps at times. Thinking of you! I'm glad you have a date for your appt at MDA. LIVESTRONG.com has great questions to ask your dr. etc. if you or someone close to you is up for doing some research before you go. I found their website helpful in a caring style. For now-T
ReplyDeleteThx T, did the heated prune juice, Will try coca cola with it!

ReplyDeleteFoo's right - we can help you out in that department. J is an expert on the other ... Swiss Kris every day, 5 yogurts with probiotics, Milk of Magnesia and and I do believe Castor oil is in there somewhere ... He's gone the prune juice route and oh yeah, 2-4 bowls of bran cereal every single day, coffee - not that all that is working "great" but I know that it helps ... (my word verification for this post is "Windtrotty" so maybe that's a sign ...
