Morning

There is a time on the morning when I wake up and it is barely light. I  love the gray blue light peeking in the blinds. I can hear the birds chirping. A symphony really. I lay there and listen for a minute and this is my moment of being ok. It is when I roll over or try to get up that i really know how I am feeling. Today my stomach is soooo swollen that i can barely twist. Home health care will be here to unplug me. Joy oh JOy! Considering all the fluids they have given me I should be urinating but I am not. They checked kidney function etc and all my blood work is good. So maybe we will have a breakthrough today. I pray because this sucks. At least I am not throwing up anymore. I am stumping everyone at the Dr. office. Where is HOUSE when we need him. LOL!

  2. Oh God, just the thought of a chili dog makes me want to wretch. Used to be one of my favorite things. No more iNdian, beef or pork. Right now I am not eating at all and I am starting to get weak. UGH! Anyways... Waiting on stupid home healthcare. They had the zipcode wrong and now they are spinning!

  3. Makes me want to wretch too, and I'm not sick. How about some Ensure? My dad had these ice cream cups that were not really ice cream, super packed protein in frozen whey, better than it sounds, but a whole days worth of protein in a 1/2 cup. You need to keep up your strength, somehow. I hope these guys riding around in circles right now can really bring you some relief. Sending smooth and flowing thoughts....

  5. Here's my high protein, high nutrition smoothie recipe:
-a handful of spinach or kale
-1/2 banana (cuts the bitter of the spinach or kale)
    -1 c. liquid (I use 1/2c. pomegranate juice and 1/2 c. water)
-heaping serving of any protein powder (I do rice protein)
-2 Tbsp. of ground flax seeds
-a variety of frozen fruits (raspberries, peaches, strawberries, blackberries, etc.)

I"m not sure if you feel up to having this, but it is a very healthy drink and tastes fabulous!

  6. How about a Frosted Orange from the Varsity? Then in a week or so, some ONION RINGS!?? I deliver! :)

I love it you have a morning symphony. It would be great if you could hang a bird feeder outside your window. I'm a sap but I get so much joy from watching the birds at my bird feeder.

You should be feeling SO much better very soon. "Thank you, God, that Ellen has no more stopped-up poo!" ;)
