So I wrote my last post. Had a snack. Watched some tv. Surfed the net, played on fb. Then I came back to the blog and started clicking on blogs. I am not a big blog reader. I have enjoyed Eloise's blog. I am always impressed by her luncheons and all she does for her family. I followed Vivian's icu stay last summer and prayed every day. I know that was REALLy hard. Another friend who is not American, had a blog about her hard time here in Georgia.
For some reason when I came out of surgery, I was compelled to blog about this journey. I don't know why. I am not a writer. In school, the thought of writing a paper sent me into a major panic attack. Papers were torture. Painting, drawing, photography, and cooking were always my creative outlets. Cooking being the one thing I turn to the most. I am an excellent cook but married the biggest food pussy ever. Go figure. Oops I am digressing. Any hooty, I have been writing this and it is very cathartic.
So I decided to look at other blogs on blogspot. OMG, spankings, mommy fetishes, female trapped in male body blogs, slutty women sites. I promise I will never ever go into anything like that. That is disgusting. I do have a potty mouth, I do call it like I see it. I blogged about farting. I named my blog the c word for heaven's sake, but I promise I will never go into any of that kind of weirdness. Ever.......

I never liked to write either! I was a math major so that I wouldn't have to write papers. So it's funny that I enjoy writing trip reports and journaling on my blog now.
ReplyDeleteWriting every night last summer after a long day in the ICU with Vivian was very therapeutic. I think it's also very helpful to disseminate all of the information at once to anyone who wants to access it. I hoped that would cut down on things getting lost in translation if the information were spread by word of mouth. And certainly when news was bad, I didn't want to be repeating it to each person who cared enough to inquire.
I saw your post about people having trouble commenting. You might try removing some of the restrictions like requiring commenters to register or type a word before their comments will post (you should be able to do that in your dashboard under "settings" then "comments"). Blogspot started a spam filter a few months ago that is very effective. I used to get the occasional Chinese spam message in my comments, but those all go to the spam folder now.
Checking in here often and thinking of you and praying even more often.
