Ok so I was a little cranky yesterday but I stand behind my vent. Today is a new day. I got behind on my pain meds yesterday and wound up in a lot of pain after dinner. I was in la la land last night and watched House and passed out. That was a weird episode. Today we go to the surgeon and get staples out, as well as catheter out. Then the Dr. that I have been wanting to see called and I get in to see her today at 4. Yay! I am praying that this will be good. She has treated 2 people I know and 2 Doctors I know approve. My anxiety went down when I talked to her on the phone.
On another note, if you haven't had cancer you won't know about this. If you have had cancer you will. All the people that have gone through cancer, even strangers and nurses in the hospital, have been very supportive. I have been offered unsolicited support and survival stories as well as encouragement. I never knew about this and it is really amazing. I really appreciate it. One nurse read my chart and just came in my room and started telling me her sisters story and gave me a big pep talk about my mental frame of mind and attitude. It was really sweet. A home health care lady I called offered me her story if survival from lung cancer and a bunch of tips and encouragement.It helps so much and I certainly will do the same for others when I get to the other side. Friends from along time ago have reached out. Thanks everyone, I appreciate it so much!
