My boy

Yep, I feel like a proud parent. My handy little dog has become somewhat of a neighborhood celebrity. While I was really sick, the neighbors down the street started waiking the dog. Stella Jane who is 7 and her brother Harris have fallen in love with Ridley and their Mom is delighted to use him as a leveraging tool. If you don't behave, you can't walk Ridley. I had been informed of Stella jane's fondness for Ridley but yesterday was the cutest ever. Several kids walked Ridley and were playing with him in the back yard at Mom's. Ridley was so cute, he thought he was a kid running and playing and every once in a while Stella Jane would lean over and grab rid and kiss him right on the nose! Sooo cute. I love it. Rid has found playmates and it so awesome hearing all the kids running around and laughing and playing. Go Rid!

I really turned the corner yesterday and am really excited about it. I am going to whole foods today, they have a wheelchair so les can push me around. I am pretty excited about it actually. Let's keep our fingers crossed for the continued success eating. I think I can honestly say with this cancer pressing on my stomach I will never eat beef or pork again. Some food is just too hard to digest. It seems weird saying this because I am the consummate carnivore! I have a big green egg! But the pain of the meat negates it.....
Oh well. I can always smoke fish and duck and chicken.
Ok have a great day.

  1. I am thrilled at all your progress! Yay! Have fun in at whole foods. Mom says smoothies rock for nutrition and for options on flavors. Maybe see what all kinds of stuff you can find for some? Hopefully you'll find lots of your favorite comfort foods too. Wishing I wasn't so far away but sending you lots of love and prayers!

  2. I am so glad you're feeling better - I could tell the other day when you said "any hooty" that things were changing! And, I agree about smoothies - they're cool and refreshing and fruity. Any hooty..... :)
