Home sweet home

I just got home. Mom and Leslie had the hospital bed set upstairs. Big mistake. I am too weak to climb stairs. My legs are so swollen, I can barely walk. So we are rearranging beds again. I still don't have slot of energy from not eating but since we have turned the corner on eating, I am sure my stamina will build. I am sitting in my lazboy. Now that all the fluid is drained off my abdomen it is actually comfortable. Or rather more comfortable than it was. I am glad to have this chair because I don't need to be in bed so much. A week at the hospital was enough! Any hooty, trying to drink another ensure, blah. My day is centered around cat napping and taking in small amounts of liquid and food. It's a good place to be for now.
A side note, this chemotherapy has made my sense of smell amazing. I could smell garlic on mom's breath at the doorway. It is kind of scary actually.
Ok that's it for now.

  4. Yeahhhhhh!!! Home! The sense of smell thing must be why my patients can smell our secretaries hair product a mile away. One step in the right direction. Nancy
