Bummer

I went to the new Flip at Roswell Rd today. Total waste. Think woofers mounted to the ceiling with that rattling bass like in a pimped out car only it is a restaurant sounding like that while you are trying to eat. The food was ok, not as good as the other one. And poor little blondine, the waitress was more worried about her acrylic nail tips than actually waiting on a table. Do I sound snarky enough? It was good to get out but not at that pimped out hole!
So, I am going to nap now. The days of insomnia are taking their toll. I only sleep 3-4 hours a night and it is wearing me out. They said don't nap during the day but I really need to.
Ok there was my bitch session, can you tell I am getting back to normal?
Another play for Ridley today...wahoooooo!

  1. Ellen, if my suggestions are intrusive, please tell me to shut up. In my chemo class at Hopkins (which all patients must attend before starting chemo), we were given a lot of guidelines to follow with a compromised immune system from the chemo. Some of the most memorable were

    - restrict my exposure to the (germy) public
-no fresh fruits of vegetables, especially salads whose greens were not washed 2 or 3 times by me
-inspect your tongue daily for thrush
-stay away from indoor plants and also from flowers

Glad to hear that you and your mom are getting some help once your sister leaves.

I found it hard to ask friends for help until one of them told me that doing so was a gift to her. That put a whole new perspective on it.

  2. Thanks JoAnn. I haven't taken my chemo class but those are excellent tips. I think I have my class next week. They did tell mento stay away from children and only eat cooked veggies and no beef. Any other little tips like thar are definitely appreciated.
