I went to picadilly and actually ate some. At least for me. I came home, put on my night gown, and am sitting on the porch. The breeze is blowing and it is grey and I am hoping it will rain. I have a bag of frozen okra on my arm where I have the massive knot from the iron. I had the tv on but then Rachel ray came on and she had to go. She is soooo irritating. I can't watch her. So I am enjoying the wind in the trees. I love my house. Leslie will be back with Ridley and he will go bonkers. He loves coming home. He loves sleeping like a kitty cat on the back of the sofa and looking out the living room window. He barks at kitties and squirrels. Too bad he doesn't bark at guests. My stomach is hurting and I am not sure why. Maybe lunch sitting there, maybe gas, wish i knew. I don't take pain pills during the day so I am riding it out. I think i am better today Because of that chunk of sleep i had. Cecelia keeps offering ambien but I don't want that crap. I know I would sleep but i don't want to add another layer of drugs to the drugs. So,I am chilling on the porch, I am gonna take a kitty cat nap and then try and cook dinner for Leslie. I am thinking Wolfgang pucks Panko crusted butterflied baked shrimp. Quick, easy, and i think I can eat it.
Ok peace.
I love how to you whipping something up is gourmet cooking to me. I've always been in "cooking envy" with you. I remember the last time we had brunch at your house and I went back and told Fred what an amazing meal you'd made at the spur of the moment. I still want to know how you made that Greek Yogurt Parfait. I have wild blackberries coming out of my ears here and need to make some stuff with them. I hope we can hang out on your porch or back yard with the doggies when I'm there next month.
ReplyDeleteEllen, I think it is wonderful that you are writing about this. Please don't stop. So good to see Leslie and Ridley and YOU last night.
