Salt
I have always been salt sensitive. If I eat Chinese, I can gain 5 pounds.I have not been eating much Asian lately. Since I have been sick, I have eaten lots of fresh fruit, yogurt, organic turkey sandwiches. Not much salt. I have eaten out some. Last night I had Chinese. My hands are so swollen I can't make a fist. Salt. Salt is sneaky and insidious and it tastes good. Before I got sick I was the salt girl. I would much rathr have fried chicken or French fries than something sweet. Not anymore. Sweet it is.I crave raspberries and I enjoy a little dish of cherry Garcia every now and then. Funny how your taste can change. Funny how my hands are so swollen. Anyways.... My handy companion and I are on the sofa. I am sipping the life giving bean as usual. I have nothing profound or witty this am. Not sure what the day holds for me. I hope it is good. I am sure it will be. More later....

Salt hurts me as well, can't eat most Restaurant soups as they're like a salt lick. I see it in my face when I've had an over-dose of it. Am a big label reader as a result. If it has some ridiculously high amount, it goes back on the shelf. Luckily, all of the food gurus have put the pressure on and lots of places are starting to cut back on it, mostly as a marketing ploy but...whatever works.
