Dr. Visit

So Dr. c said we will have 3 more chemos and then another cat scan. He was very pleased with the shrinkage and my ca 125 went from 181 to 122. Still high but dropping. I am encouraged. I am relieved. I am continuing my fight. I went to lunch with beth and mom. Came home and I am chillin on the sofa. I am really full.... Hopefully i can do a few chores. No other news. Will update as needed but there is not anything until chemo next Thursday. I hope my strength continues to improve.... Beth leaves tomorrow, sad but it has been fun. We have been friends for 41 years. We rode big wheels together and her brother jay and I would play fort and shoot green pine cones with wrist rockets. You have not lived until you have been pelted with pine cones from a slingshot. Remember that Jay? we also went to the oaks everyday in the summer. The 10!!!!! Scary, exciting, and painful when you landed wrong. Ok, enough flash back to the 70's but there are some good derby hills memories in there. Ok, maybe some of other friends will get their Butts here! Stat! You know who you are..... Michelle G......and bring Adam.

  2. Those were deadly pine cones, not only when launched from a sling shot. Falling on them hurts too (something you do a lot as a 6-9 year old running around the neighborhood unsupervised. That doesn't go down well in Daniel's generation). He is scared to walk out the front door. Sad.

But scarier was the Oaks diving board..you must be referring to the 10m thing? It's probably not as high as I remember, but I remember the multi level diving platforms, with the boards on levels 1 and 2--I have never seen another diving "tower" like that, except in competition pools. Belly flops were not a good thing.
