Monday

I just vegged all day yesterday. I took pain pills and was a blob. I did eat a little and stayed hydrated. Today I got up and I have just stayed in bed. I ate breakfast and am contemplating a snack. My chemo brain is in full swing. I have been walking to the end of the driveway which is tiring. My hips ache after. It is so funny how simple things require effort. Taking a shower leaves me winded and tired. I have a little stool I sit on. Makes it easier to wash my legs and sometimes I just sit there and let the water run over my head. My stomach is still swollen, guess that is how it is. I can't bend over very well. I might take another nap. I have watched 3 law and orders this morning. hopefully by tomorrow I will bounce back from this chemo treatment. Who knows. I have the cat scan this week and I am really nervous about the results.....

  1. Ellen, last night I remembered something that appealed to me during chemo....rice pudding....the good stuff from the dairy aisle. It was easy to eat and satisfying.

Hope your week gets better and will be thinking of you and the CT scan.

    Hugs,
    JOANN

  4. There is actually a prepared rice pudding you can buy at the grocery store. It's Cozy Shack (stupid name, I know), and they make tapioca and chocolate pudding too, all of which can be found with other prepared puddings in the refrigerated section. I ate an assload of Cozy Shack after I had my knee surgery in March.

  5. Cozy Shack is the brand I buy too. It is wonderful. My sister-in-law just told me they now have bread pudding.
