Observations

I have watched alot of food network over the past four months. I love some shows, some i hate. Ina and paula deen are fat because look at the shit they cook.all fat. Ina makes classy fat dishes if you bought all her ingredients, you would have a $200 meal. Paula would kill you because she double dips and laughs and sneezes all over the food. Then She licks her fingers and handles everything. I hope she washes her hands after she goes to the bathroom. I doubt it. Giada rocks but she looks like a stick with an alien head. I am sure it is the camera. Sunny rocks but she is a big girl for a reason too. Enough about food. I slept restlessly. I am up and at em today. I hope i have energy to run some errands. Yesterday i was short of breath and my legs burned everytime i stood up. I am still tachy. Running at 140. Maybe when this crap shrinks i will slow down. Ok have a great weekend. Love, me

  3. I make a lot of Ina and Giada's recipes. With Ina's, I use less oil, less salt, and lighter cream or milk. Her recipes are reliable and delicious, as are Giada's. But they have people cleaning up their messes. I do not spend any more $$$ because I do not use recipes with too many ingredients or steps. Or recipes that need 2 blenders and a food processor plus 3 pans! LOL

  4. ha ha ha ha ha! love your observations. i haven't had cable in forever so don't ever get to see any of the shows. giada's food is good but god, she freaks me out! that smile is what nightmares are made of!

i long for good old school PBS chefs.... my favorite current one being lidia bastianach... that woman taught me how to cook risotto... what i would give to cook with her! and then of course there were the good ole days of justin wilson. LOVED HIM! what an old coot! "now this needs a little wine, yeah, maybe a cup, maybe a little more, ooooohhh, double's good!" okay, so i know i'm not quoting him right. i can't do all those sounds he did, or describe adequately how he would use the top of the pan to push the aromas into the audience. ha! and he had that hottie wife half his age.

and then there was jacques pepin, and YAN CAN COOK!

(i was a little too young for julia)

  5. That's so weird. I was just thinking tonight, about how the excess in ingredients that Paula Dean uses is like drugs for drug addicts,(and how she is like a wolf in sheep's clothing) and how I must be in the minority to think so because, no, I don't like it that sweet, that rich, or that fat.

i heart you, and your observations ellen.

  7. And Sarah Moulton - she was not "entertaining" enough, I guess, but she sure knew her food.
