This is a post I never wanted to write. I was sitting on the bed here at room 332 at the hospital. The cardiologist came in and said my ecocargiogram looked good. My heart is strong and healthy. The gyn onc came in, my beloved Dr. Cantuaria. He said my cat scan was stable. He was nervous. He was pacing. He told me that the cat scan was stable but he was out of treatment options for me. Unfortunately, the ifos worked but my neurotoxicity state for 3 days, I had mini strokes, I almost seized. My kidney is toast from the drug. He cannot continue to put chemo in my body without damaging me,dang. So I am pretty sad. I am peeking at the sex of the baby my sister is having so I can buy gifts for later so I can be there without being there. If it is a girl, I have alot of aunt gifts to get. This just is awful and I am very sad. I am a fighter and I am looking into Using alternative treatments in new Mexico.cancer center in arizona, i am calling today to make sure it is not bul ca ca.if anyone knows of any cancer alternatives, hit me up.email or cell 404-803-6559. It could save my life......
Thanks... Peace.

ReplyDeleteThere are certainly God things to try! God is the Master Physician! I love you!
DeleteHugs hugs hugs Ellen. We are with you, supporting you and loving you.
ReplyDeleteEllen, there are docs here in Dallas that do different stuff once you get out of pure mainstream oncology. Surely there are some in Atlanta. http://www.northtxgynonc.com/
ReplyDeleteThey go beyond standard oncology protocols that the mainstream docs don't do. Maybe you should also consult with MD Anderson. Dr Frumovitz has consulted with friends. (I'm a friend of Weasel in Dallas, originally from Griffin).
God bless you girl. I'd never be able to write that post. I'd be too busy moping and whining. I'm excited for you to meet your niece or nephew soon. And don't give up. You NEVER know.

Ellen, read this post after just replying to an earlier one. I'm sorry for being a blog idiot. I'm more sorry to hear you say you are sad. Though I don't know anything about medicine or non-medicine that can help I promise to continue my prayers for you. I ask God for your guidance and peace and healing too. I'm glad we became friends and will take you shopping for baby gifts & promise not to tell Leslie details if you want. That niece or nephew will be here soon. It's gift arriving for all of you. Miss you. HUGS.HUGS Mendy
ReplyDeleteEllen, your fighting spirit has enabled you to live more than a year after doctors just about gave up on you following your original surgery. Don't give up! So many people love you and are praying for you.
ReplyDeleteThat said, I do believe that God's plan for us is bigger than our life on earth. I think that the suffering you've endured will somehow make sense when the veil is lifted from our eyes. I take comfort in Jesus' death. What despair must those who loved him have been in when he died, surely they thought (as those of us who love you think now), what in the heck kind of plan is this? But when Jesus was resurrected, his friends saw that God did have a plan and that it was bigger and better than they could have imagined.
I hope you know how very much I love and cherish you, Ellen.

ReplyDeleteJust read this article on Iscador, has been used as an alternative treatment for years in Switzerland. Suzanne Sommers used it as well. They've even seen results in late stage cancer. Have a look, love you lots, M.
Dear Ellen,
ReplyDeleteI was sorry to hear your news but am heartened by your willingness to continue the fight. I wish I had some great alternative for you but have no experience in this. I will continue to pray for you. Be strong!

Much love Ellen. -David, DeAnn, Cassidy & Nate
